A community of students and adults inquiring together in freedom, near Bangalore, Karnataka

About CFL

Learning that reaches beyond academics into emotion, thought, and how we meet the challenges of life

Our Work

CFL is a small school outside Bangalore for students between the ages of six and nineteen. We do not use traditional motivators like fear, competition, reward, or punishment to move our students.

As educators, we work to create an environment where children and adults can inquire together in freedom, security, and affection - awakening a creativity that contributes to a spirit of responsibility and regeneration in society. Our curriculum helps students discover their interests and build rigorous skills in both academic and non-academic areas.

Our Vision

CFL is a community of students and adults interested in learning about ourselves and our relationship with the world. This learning involves not only academics and life skills, but also a deeper exploration of our emotions, our thought processes, and the way we respond to the challenges of life. The questions raised by J. Krishnamurti play a significant role in our educational vision.

Surely, education has no meaning unless it helps you understand the vast expanse of life with all its subtleties, its extraordinary beauty, its sorrows and joys. — J. Krishnamurti
